Position Overview:

The company is actively seeking an Electrician | Dry Fire Technician to join their dedicated team. The company is offering a full-time position, mainly with work hours from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with the potential for overtime. In this role, you will be provided with a company uniform and a manual work UTE to support you in your daily tasks.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications and criteria:

1. Current QBCC License, Trade Qualified
2. Proficiency in Installation, Programming, Commissioning, and Maintenance of Fire Alarm & Detection Systems
3. Experience with Installation & Maintenance of Gaseous Systems (highly desired)
4. Proven field service experience with troubleshooting, testing, and repair capabilities
5. Strong knowledge of applicable Australian standards (AS1851, AS1670, & AS4428)
6. Ability to maintain emergency and exit lighting
7. A commitment to workplace safety
8. Excellent time management and independent work capabilities
9. Trustworthy, reliable, and punctual
10. Effective communication skills with customers and colleagues
11. Ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test
12. Industry experience (highly desired)

Responsibilities:

As an Electrician | Fire Alarm Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Installation, Programming, Commissioning, and Maintenance of Fire Alarm & Detection Systems
2. Experience with Installation & Maintenance of Gaseous Systems (if applicable)
3. On-site callouts, troubleshooting, testing, and repair
4. Quoting and scoping for upcoming projects
5. Identifying Issues and Non-Conformances, adhering to relevant Australian standards
6. Emergency and Exit Light Maintenance and Installation
7. Adherence to company safety policies and procedures
8. Independent and efficient time management
9. Professional communication with clients and colleagues
10. Compliance with mandatory Pre-Employment Gladstone 3 site medical requirements
