Working in a team on various projects (including two for Australia, Please refer to project section). In this role I was a part of technical department and I had to read the specifications, select the proper components and design the system for ongoing projects and sales quotations. I would prepare the drawings and documentation for clients and workshop manufacturing team. I have worked on many Gas Turbine water mist fire suppression systems and many other hotels and buildings protection. The systems included Pneumatic and electric pumps to supply a water and air/nitrogen mixture to be discharged by sprinklers or spray head.
In collaboration with sales and customer support team, I would:
- Perform technical analysis of quotation requests, optimising costs and offering best solution
- Perform customer support problem shooting activity for already installed projects
In the technical team, I would:
- Design the sprinkler system according to corresponding risk classification.
- Design and drafting the drawings: General Arrangements (GA), Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), Wiring Diagrams (WD), lifting sketches.
- Prepare Bill Of Material and parts list
- Prepare quality books and certifications
- Hydraulic and pressure drop calculation

I have worked on two projects through GE which are installed in Australia, these systems were manufactured in our Italian workshop and then delivered to the Australian client. These projects involved gas turbine fire protection using pneumatic pumps. For these projects, I acquired sound understanding of Australian standards: Fire sprinkler systems AS2118, AS4118 and Gaseous fire-extinguishing systems AS14520.
