Passive Fire Protection/Fire Doors

Skills and abilities
 Extensive experience in all aspects of passive fire protection, notably fire/smoke doors
and passive penetrations, including installation, maintenance, manufacturing and
inspection.
 Extensive managerial experience, including managing and recruiting for an installation
team, coordinating jobs and workflows, and implementing processes to ensure
compliance with all workplace health and safety requirements.
 High-level client service skills, including relationship management and managing
expectations.
 High-level computer skills, including advanced skills in MS Office Suite, Simpro and
SmartTrade (to generate quotes and timings, monitor productivity and job progress, and
generate invoices).
 Extensive experience in managing stock levels, including monitoring usage, ordering
materials and conducting stocktakes.
 Extensive experience in conducting inspections to ensure fire doors and passive
penetrations and associated materials comply with relevant legislation and Australian
Standards 1851-2012.
 Ability to input inspection findings into a central computer system and maintain detailed
client log books.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact and
liaise with people at all levels and from different backgrounds (e.g. operational
managers, fire safety officers).
 Proven ability to deal with and resolve issues.
 Proven ability to care for a company vehicle at my personal residence, and responsible
use of a company credit card and company supplier accounts.
 Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage multiple jobs
on any given day and reprioritise as circumstances change.
 Proven ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated.
 Proven ability to exercise confidentiality, sensitivity, reliability and honesty while
performing the requirements of my job.
