I am an HVAC engineer with strong focus to reduce energy use in HVAC systems and improve energy efficiency.
My ultimate responsibilities are to ensure my team delivers projects with only one outcome; that is exceeding my client's expectation. My strength includes the ability to work under pressure at the same time maintain clear and focus decisions moving forward. For many years I specialised in design and build mission-critical HVAC projects and my pet passion is high-performance HVAC designs. I believe nothing should go to waste including heat rejected from air conditioning systems, hence my total and integrated design approach.
In 2011, I conceptualised and designed an HVAC plant for University of Adelaide Hub Central that has a designed cooling energy efficiency ratio (EER) of more than 10. My leadership skill has enabled me to impart this vision to engage with the team and external stakeholders to bring the concept to fruition. The project was commended for Innovation / Research and Development, SA Engineering Excellence Award, Engineers Australia in 2012. I was part of the design team members for the Christies Beach High School Sustainability Learning Centre that was the finalist in the Engineers Australia SA Engineering Excellence Award 2012.
My focus for my clients is to drive value out of inefficient HVAC system designs. At times my design approaches may seem unconventional or out of the box in the first instance, as I continually improve and innovate to seek the competitive edge for my clients. My mantra is Better Faster and Cheaper. My excellent communication and interpersonal skills have helped me consistently deliver the outcome expected by my clients.
